Weymouth, May 2014

This post is very late! We went to Weymouth from 12th-16th May and stayed at Haven Weymouth Bay. All in all the weather was good, mostly sunny and three really warm days. I wanted to share some of my photos, we didn't go to any new places so I tried not to take too many photos similar to my last Weymouth holiday. You can read the post, here.

Tuesday - Weymouth

Wednesday
We went to the market in the morning. In the afternoon I took a walk up the hill, that leads from the park to Bowleaze Cove. I didn't realise you could do this, we've always walked through Waterside Holiday Park before. I sat on top of the hill for a while and took in the view, it was stunning and I could have stayed there all day!

Thursday - Portland Bill and Chesil Beach
There was evidence of the winter storm damage at Portland Bill. Where you can see the orange netting, the rocks behind have come away.

Friday - Bowleaze Cove
We walked to Bowleaze Cove before we left to head home.

52 Weeks of Happy 25/52

1. Visiting local fields. I recently found out that there some local fields, a sort of conservation area and it's only 10 minutes drive away. I will do a separate post soon with all the photos. 

2. Having breakfast out. My mum has had the week off so we went to the local Brewers Fayre for breakfast. I had the full breakfast, which is 'eat as much as you like' of the cooked and Continental breakfasts. I didn't take a photo!

3. Two picnics. It was National Picnic Week, this week. I haven't had a picnic for a long time but we had one at the fields on Monday and my nephew's Playgroup had one on Thursday. Again, I forgot to take a photo!

4. Lavender. I'm loving the colour of the lavender at the moment, it doesn't have it's strong smell yet, though. I can't have strong smelling flowers in the house as they give my nan sneezing fits and headaches.

52 Weeks of Happy 24/52

This week has gone so quickly, I don't know where the time goes!

My happy things from this week are:

1. Common lizard. While walking home, my nephew spotted this on the step, it's the first time I've seen one. I only had my phone and couldn't get a great photo as I didn't want to disturb it.

2. Weather. We've had a lovely, mostly warm week here. I've spent some time in the garden, pottering about.

3. Planting. I planted up my pots this week, I did it after 8pm and it was starting to get dark so I haven't taken any photos yet. 

4. Broadchurch. Set in West Bay and Somerset, I watched this first time around and it was repeated on ITV Encore this week.

52 Weeks of Happy 23/52

I'm very late with this post! I have an unexpected morning off from volunteering at the toddler group so thought I should try and catch up with blogging as I haven't really been in blog land recently!

Here are my happy things from last week.

1. Bug hunt. I did this bug hunt in the garden, with my nephew. Not all of the photos came out well and I don't know what all of the bugs are! The 3rd and 6th photos, I don't know and the 4th I think is a Down Shieldbug. Do you know what they are?

 2. Foxgloves. When I planted these last year, they didn't flower. They started coming out a couple of weeks ago and now look really nice. I've never had Foxgloves in the garden so it's a new experience watching the bees go up inside the flowers!

3. Onya bags. I ordered these from the website, they are really strong and handy as they pack into a pouch. They are quite expensive but I think I'll get a lot of use out of them. I found out this week, that the bigger one in the middle is big enough to carry two boxes of cereal!

4. New baby. My cousin had her baby on Saturday, a little boy! After not having any boys in the family for 58 years, we now have three! They live in Cornwall so we don't see them that often but we FaceTime them.

52 Weeks of Happy 22/52

Oh, it seems to have been another busy week! I still haven't managed to catch up with all your blogs so I'm sorry for the lack of comments. I'm hoping I'll have time this week, to write a post about my holiday but for now here are my happy things from this week.

1. Springwatch. I love watching all of the nature stories.

2. Money tin. I bought this in The Card Factory, it's one that you have to use a tin opener to get the money out. I'm going to try and put £2 in a week.

3. More books! I bought these off of eBay for about £4 for both.

4. Bioblitz. I took part in this over Saturday and today and I've uploaded my results to the iRecord website. I didn't get photos of everything but these are the ones I did get.
